Homemade Burger Recipe Perfect and Healthy
Seriously you can not go wrong with this. It puts retail burgers to shame even those served in nice restraints. This is a recipe for my stuffed cheese beef or lamb burgers and later I discover pork mince combined with chicken mince!First make potato wedges by par boil and add into the oven with very hot olive oil or you could also make a salad. If you like bread you will need wholemeal buns (do not use white bread because that simply turns into sugar).
Look for low fat options because the fat can’t escape. Especially lamb.
For Beef Burgers:
Mix with a finely chopped red onion and large pepper. You can add garlic purée or tomato purée to bind the burger together. Add some ground pepper or chili powder or best chopped chili.
For Lamb Burgers:
Red onion and large pepper are optional. It is also optional to add mint to lamb. During the frying or grilling stage I recommend you add a branch of rosemary that you remove at the end of cooking.
Separate meat into portions. Use a small bit of strong cheese stick it in the middle of a burger and make your burger using the palm of one hand and the fingers of the other.
Add olive oil to a hot pan and fry all doing both sides for 6-10 minutes depending on how thick the burger is. Most importantly do not squash the burger in the cooking process, this will maintain a lovely soft feel and a taste that melts in your mouth.
UPDATE 1 - Try "pork and chicken" burger!: If you can get hold of any try pork mince and mix it in with chicken mince for stunning burgers! I found both at the supermarket. You can serve this on a salad with a few wedges. I have to say these come close to my favorite burgers.
UPDATE 2 - I have truly made the nicest burger ever: and is quite unique. I call it the Italian Burger. Please Try this first.
